RVAR Endorses Roanoke County Supervisors |
 | | RVAR’s Board of Directors has endorsed three candidates for election to the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors. Interviews were conducted with these candidates. Questions focused on funding for schools and other capital improvements, concerns over increasing water and sewer fees for new construction and regional cooperation. Flora and Patterson will each receive a $1,000 RPAC contribution; Goodman will receive a $500 RPAC contribution. |

Congratulations to John Dickinson (Hall Associates) and Kit Hale (MKB) who were elected to NAR’s Board of Directors at the recent VAR Convention. Mary Dykstra (REMAX Valley) was elected to serve a second term on VAR’s Board of Directors. John was also installed to serve as VAR’s President-elect in 2010. RVAR salutes their achievements! |

The City of Roanoke provides Flood Insurance Rate Maps and Elevation Certificates for properties inside City limits that fall within Special Flood Hazard Areas. This information may be accessed by: (1) visiting the City's website at www.roanokeva.gov and clicking the GIS/Real Estate link; (2) calling the City Engineering Office at 540-853-2731; or by (3) visiting the Office of the City Engineer, Noel C. Taylor Municipal Building, 215 Church Avenue Suite 350, Roanoke, VA 24011. Additional information about flood plain insurance may be found at www.floodsmart.gov/floodsmart/ .
